We had a wonderful stay and we’re looking forward to returning. We also noticed that there was a manager walking around during the day/at night who was greeting guests and was very courteous to the hotel staff as well. There’s a Kids Klub room with fun activities during the day and at night, my kids loved watching the Dueling Piano act in the lobby.

We loved the family friendly atmosphere of the hotel and this hotel felt less corporate/overpriced compared to other indoor waterpark hotels that we’ve been to in the Poconos. I was nervous about our stay based on previous reviews, but we had a wonderful time and my kids can’t wait to go back. Interior materials are recycled from 139 year-old grist mill located in Chatam, Virginia the 131 year-old Reedy Fork Mill formerly outside Winston-Salem. Many of the walls are 16'-24' thick hand-hewn logs. Access to the indoor water park is available to all. The Lodges interior, which is almost exclusively wood, creates rustic atmosphere with modern conveniences. We’ve been to many hotels with indoor water parks and although the waterpark at the Great Escape Lodge is smaller, we felt that there was still plenty for our children to do and that the waterpark was clean, safe, and well staffed. This lodge is located in the Adirondack Mountains and features White Water Bay, an indoor water park. We had a wonderful stay and were pleasantly surprised! The Great Escape Lodge is very family friendly and clean.
